Flying out to Hollywood California with my 33 Love Child bandmates to celebrate the exclusive red carpet premiere of “Part Two” to the hit music-movie documentary, Inside Metal (metalrockfilms.com), which was written, produced, and directed by Bob Nalbandian (who also included music from 33 Love Child as part of the movie soundtrack) was absolutely awesome.
We were so stoked to be there for the awesome premiere and the honored privilege of hearing songs from our debut album during the movie as part of the movie soundtrack was personally so surreal to me. We spent the weekend at The W Hollywood (located at Hollywood and Vine of all places) where you could see The Capitol Records building from the room window.
It was so incredibly amazing to be at the screening surrounded by bands and musicians that I grew up listening to and who inspired me by lighting the flame of passion deep within my soul for Hard Rock and Metal (second only to my primary “true love” as a bass guitarist: Old School FUNK). The interviews in the documentary were so insightful that I would easily say that Bob was more of a historian curator than just a journalist.
Finally after we landed back home at DFW Airport from some of that awesome "Hollywood Swinging" (Inside Metal style of course) with my 33 LOVE CHILD band family, it goes without saying that the jet lag was absolutely brutal (especially with the time change); but on behalf of American Airlines, my awesomely entertaining flight pilot/comedian (Captain Jeffrey McAllister aka The Mac Captain) and myself would like to formally announce to everyone that was onboard with us on our flight (and hope to hear quite frequently this upcoming NFL season for many seasons to come): TOUCHDOWN......DALLAS!!!
